2016 Scholarship
09/28/15
Dear Friends: On July 12, 2009 Katerina Tsiboukis passed away in a car accident along with her grandparents soon after arriving in Greece for vacation. The family is healing slowly. It has and will be a long road for them. Katerina was a motivated, intelligent and accomplished child that excelled in aikido martial arts, dance, swimming and skiing. She was an angel sent for only 6 ½ years. Her love of life was very contagious, and she motivated everyone around her. In Katarina’s memory we started The Ekaterini Tsiboukis Scholarship Fund. Over the last 6 years the fund has provided numerous scholarships to deserving students in the tri state area. Additionally, through the fund we constructed a playground for children on the school grounds at The William Spyropoulos Greek-American School of the St. Nicholas Church in Flushing, Queens. This year we will be celebrating Katerina’s 13th birthday, as well as the scholarship fund’s 6th year anniversary on January 9, 2016 at Leonard’s Palazzo in Great Neck. We ask for your support by placing a business advertisement in our journal, a raffle donation, or monetary sponsorship for the event. Please return the attached form and payment by December 1, 2015. All proceeds will go to the Scholarship Fund. Once again we are very thankful for your continued support in honoring the memory of our beautiful Katerina. With great appreciation, Effie Nicolopoulos, Eleftherios Tsiboukis and Frank Reich Journal/Sponsor and seating forms are located under The Scholarship Fund Tab
